Our Story

Hello and welcome! I’m Yuyu, founder of Cosma, and mom of two in New York City. Cosma began as my postpartum survival project, born out of one simple goal: to make mom life a little easier, and a lot more chic.

Our first creation, the Cosma Go wearable cooler, was designed to solve a universal challenge: carrying breastmilk and kids’ snacks without the bulky, clinical-looking bags we’ve all seen. I wanted something that looked beautiful, felt empowering, and fit seamlessly into a modern mom’s life -- from office commutes to daycare drop-offs, travel days to weekend strolls.

How It All Began

In the summer of 2024, after giving birth to my daughter, I expected the transition to be smooth. I had done this before so I thought I was ready. But this time, postpartum depression hit hard. I lost interest in almost everything, and joy felt out of reach. Between caring for a newborn, a young kid and managing the chaos of daily life, I realized I needed to create something just for me -- something that gave me energy again.

That’s when I started designing a cooler. A small, simple idea at first -- something to make carrying breastmilk and snacks easier and look better. I didn’t want another functional, utilitarian “mom product.” If everything I carried looked purely mechanical, I felt mechanical too.

When I returned to work and started pumping in the office, my conviction grew even stronger: we deserve better. Women deserve products that are both beautiful and practical, tools that fit our pace, our style, and our lives.

Where We Are Now

The Cosma Go is proof that style and function don’t have to be mutually exclusive. It’s sleek, versatile, and thoughtfully designed for women who juggle work, family, and everything in between.

But this is just the beginning. I believe that when a product makes a mom’s life easier, it benefits everyone around her. Cosma Go is our first step toward building a collection that celebrates modern motherhood -- strong, stylish, and full of heart.

Thank you for being here. If you have ideas or suggestions, I’d love to hear from you.

With love,
Yuyu
